Privacy Policy

The short version

FITMER is an interval workout timer. There are no accounts, no ads and no third-party tracking, and your data is never sold. The app does collect anonymous usage statistics and crash reports so we know what to fix — you can switch that off in Settings.

What we store

Your preferences (sounds, vibration, prep countdown, display options and similar settings) are saved locally on your device. Completed workouts go into a history kept on the device as well, and so does the body profile used for calorie estimates if you connect a health app. None of it is uploaded to us.

Anonymous statistics

To see which features are used and where the app fails, the mobile app collects anonymous events (a workout started or finished, a setting changed) and crash reports through Google Firebase. They carry no name, email, location or advertising identifier, and they are not used to follow you across apps. Turn it off any time in Settings — Anonymous usage stats.

Apple Health and Health Connect

If you connect Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android), FITMER saves your finished workouts there with an estimate of active calories. To estimate calories it reads your height and weight, and on iPhone also your date of birth and sex. You can enter anything that is missing; height or weight you enter or change in the app is saved to Apple Health or Health Connect as well.

This data stays on your device and in your health app. It is never sent to us or anyone else, never used for advertising and never included in the anonymous statistics — they only record that a health app was connected or a workout was saved or removed, without any values.

You can turn syncing off in FITMER settings and revoke access in the Health app or in Health Connect settings. Workouts already saved stay there until you delete them.

What we do NOT collect

We do not collect your name, email, contacts or location, we do not use advertising identifiers and we do not track you across other apps and websites. The app contains no advertising and no in-app purchases.

Permissions

On mobile the app may request to keep the screen awake and to vibrate during a workout, and plays audio cues. If you choose to connect Apple Health or Health Connect, the system also asks for permission to read and write the health data described above. These permissions are used only for the timer and your workouts and involve no data sharing with us.

On the web

The web version is served as a static site. Your settings are kept in your browser’s local storage on your device; nothing about your sessions is sent to or stored on a server by us.

Children

FITMER is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
